The 6th of June 2024 marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day, when Allied forces mounted the largest amphibious invasion the world has ever witnessed. We will be raising money and commemorating the 80th anniversary of D- Day before the beacon is lit at 9:15pm

About the event

We will be raising money and commemorating the 80th anniversary of D- Day before the beacon is lit at 9:15pm
7pm start time with fish and chip supper
According to legend, British soldiers storming the Normandy beaches on D-Day would identify each other by yelling out, “Fish,” and waiting for the barely coded response, “Chips.”
War time music from 7:45pm from the fantastic Claire Louise till 8:45pm
Then all to walk down to watch the beacon be lit in remembrance of the D Day landing
